Reitveld

Rietveld is a large-scale wall mounted acoustic light fixture.

The design is a configuration of four overlapping rectangular elements, three flocked Basotect sound-absorbing elements and one light element that casts a pleasant diffused light on the wall.

The balanced proportions and the possibility to provide the panel in different colour combinations enhance the design as a modern wall sculpture.

The fixture can be fitted with the light element in up or down orientation.

By combining several fixtures adjacent to each other, making use of the optional connection panel, it is possible to optimise the acoustics in spaces with long walls.

The architect Gerrit Rietveld was one of the founders of the Dutch art movement 'De Stijl', which in the nineteen twenties of the preceding century was at the start of the modern architecture as it is still practiced today.

Morse

Morse is a concept of acoustic optimisation and lighting combined in a pendant or ceiling installation.

The vertical arrangement of the flocked Basotect panels is ideally suited for installation above conversation areas such as conference tables and lounges, as well as above circulation zones.

With its large total surface area of sound absorbing material each fixture delivers a significant contribution to the acoustic comfort.

One of the panels has an elegant integrated light unit giving a soft but functional downlight effect.

The two fixture types, with three or four panels, can be combined in various numbers and unique configurations to enable placement in different size spaces.

Thanks to the striking sculptural and well-balanced shape each configuration also contributes to the aesthetics and to the character of the room.

The rhythmic nature of the design is reminiscent of the well-known Morse code language, which can be written out as a seemingly random sequence of long and short signals.

Kepler

IKepler is a range of ceiling fixtures that are composed of large Basotect disc-shaped elements.

The overlapping layout, the rounded design and the extensive possibilities in terms of colour give this concept a relaxed personality, which makes it ideal for use in areas with an informal and playful character.

The same approach is used in the integration of the downlight light fixtures: not the traditional recessed spot but a random constellation of seven individual high-output LEDs that together provide a considerable luminous flux.

The fixtures, which are offered in a version with two, three or four discs are relatively flat, making installation on lower ceilings possible.

The design includes various references to the mechanics of celestial bodies, the field in which the German astrophysicist Johannes Kepler pioneered.

Tatlin

The Tatlin concept provides acoustic optimisation in the form of an abstract bas-relief made to measure.

Each configuration is constructed as a collage of bar shaped flocked Basotect elements in a limited number of different sizes and thicknesses which automatically creates a natural sculptural effect; a play of volumes and shadows, enhanced by nuances in tone.

Even the most widespread configurations remain a unique visual spectacle.

The system is suitable for ceiling and wall mounting and is complemented where necessary with integrated lighting in the form of a translucent bar-shaped unit that fits perfectly visually with the acoustic elements.

The Russian avant-garde artist Vladimir Tatlin started in the twenties of the last century, the influential art movement that is known under the term constructivism.

Escher

Escher is a modular acoustic system for wall and ceiling installation with a visually distinct personality.

Each installation is built up of compact hexagonal units that can be combined to configure a pattern of random size and shape.

This flexibility enables the system to be easily applied to ceilings and walls where interruptions (lighting and ventilation elements, windows etc) occur and on surfaces with irregular contours.

The hexagonal units each consist of three diamond shaped Basotect parts that are flocked in a different shade or colour, which together with the three-dimensional profile provides stunning visual effects.

The system also comprises a light unit, which can be integrated in the desired quantities in every configuration.

MC Escher was a Dutch graphic artist with a distinctive style based on Trompe l'oeuil effects and geometric patterns.
